  • Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) is the time each year when Medicare beneficiaries can review and make changes to their coverage for the upcoming year.
  • Even if you are happy with your current Medicare plan, an annual Medicare review can help ensure your coverage still fits your healthcare needs and budget.

What Happens During a Medicare Review?

A Medicare review is simple and educational.

We will:

1

Review your current Medicare coverage

2

Discuss any healthcare or prescription changes

3

Check for plan changes or savings opportunities

4

Answer your Medicare questions

No pressure. No obligation. Just clear information.

Why an Annual Medicare Review Matters

Many Medicare plans change every year — even if your health stays the same.

An annual review allows us to help you:

✅ Check for plan changes that may affect costs or coverage

✅ Review prescription drug coverage

✅ Confirm your doctors and pharmacies are still in network

✅ Identify new options that may be available in your area

✅ Avoid unexpected costs next year

There is no obligation to enroll or make changes. Our goal is simply to help you stay informed.

Who Should Schedule a Medicare Review During AEP?

You should consider a review if you:

  • Are enrolled in a Medicare Advantage (Part C) plan

  • Have a Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plan with a Part D prescription drug plan

  • Experienced changes this year such as:

    • New prescriptions

    • Doctor or hospital changes

    • Higher copays or premiums

  • Want to make sure you’re not overpaying for coverage

Medicare Advantage vs. Medicare Supplement Reviews

Medicare Advantage (Part C) Members

Medicare Advantage plans can change every year, including:

  • Provider networks

  • Prescription drug costs

  • Copays and maximum out‑of‑pocket limits

  • Extra benefits like dental, vision, hearing, or grocery allowances

An annual review helps ensure there are no surprises next year.

Medicare Supplement (Medigap) Members

Medicare Supplement benefits stay the same, but other parts of Medicare can change, including:

  • Part D prescription drug plan costs

  • Formularies (covered medications)

  • Pharmacy networks

  • Premium pricing

A yearly review ensures your overall coverage is still cost‑effective.

FAQs about Annual Enrollment Period

No. A review does not require you to make changes. Many people review their coverage and stay right where they are.

After December 7, changes are generally not allowed until next year unless you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period (SEP).

Plans can change annually, including costs, networks, and drug coverage. That’s why annual reviews are recommended.

Medigap benefits do not change, but Part D prescription plans do and should be reviewed every year.
