FTJ Senior Insurance is a division of Forrst T. Jones & Company (FTJ), a family-owned insurance broker and administrator based in Kansas City, Missouri.
FTJ traces its roots to 1953, when husband and wife Forrest and Dorthy Jones purchased a small insurance agency in Kansas City. From the initial owners plus one employee, FTJ has grown into a national presence with a staff of nearly 300 insurance professionals and customers in every state.
From its origins, FTJ was active selling insurance life and health insurance plans that catered to the needs of senior citizens, and that activity coalesced into a formal senior insurance division in the 1990s.
The company also provides insurance programs for more than 80 state and national associations, serves as a third-party administrator for many leading insurance companies, and manages one of the larger pooled health insurance plans in Missouri, covering 4,500 lives.
FTJ's business insurance units help thousands of professional firms, nonprofit organizations and companies manage the risks inherent in their operations.
Second and third generation members of the Jones family now own and manage the business, taking pride in a conservative, long-term approach toward client relationship and building company value.
