Staffing Reorg Positions FTJ for Sustained Growth
FTJ has revamped its insurance administration leadership structure to accelerate the growth of its administrative services only (ASO) business unit.
Leroy McCarty has been promoted to Vice President – Sales, Marketing & Account Management for FTJ Solutions, the FTJ business unit responsible for ASO business development and account management.
McCarty joined FTJ in 2007 as Vice President of Operations, overseeing insurance administration, claims, customer service, and ASO development, as well as other operations responsibilities. In his new role, he’ll focus solely on profitable growth for FTJ Solutions.
“One of our strategic goals for several years has been aggressive growth of our ASO business, and we’ve made a lot of progress in that area,” said FTJ President Rick Jones. “However, one factor inhibiting our growth was the lack of 100% dedication and concentration from a single leader for ASO development.”
The move coincides with the impending retirement of Sarah Hayes, Assistant Vice President of Administration, who will close out a 46-year career with FTJ on July 1.
To fill the leadership void in administration, FTJ has hired Robert Eshleman to the new position of Head of Administration for FTJ. He will be absorbing duties previously assigned to McCarty and Hayes.
Previously, Eshleman served as Senior Vice President of Operations at Unified Life Insurance Company for 13 years. He began his career at Unified as a Project Manager / Business Process Analyst.
He started his insurance career with successive positions as a Customer Service Representative, Customer Service Supervisor and Product Implementation Specialist for Americo Life and Annuity, from 1999 to 2009.
“These changes better position FTJ to capitalize on the opportunities for ASO growth and achieve our strategic goals to become a premier third-party administrator,” Jones said.
